Pesticide Industry leader launches new information on Best Practice 

The Crop Protection Association (CPA) has launched a new booklet on the Best Practice for using Amenity Pesticides safely in your local community. 

There are a number of forthcoming changes to amenity pesticide legislation through the EU Sustainable Use Directive for Pesticides and the EU Water Framework Directive. These important pieces of legislation will shape the way in which we can use pesticides in the amenity industry. 

The CPA booklet aims to ensure all users of pesticides understand the duty of care for their safe use and the need for 'Best Practice' at all times. If you operate within the guidelines of 'Best Practice' you will ensure compliance with industry legislation today and in the future. The CPA provides informed and practical information in this booklet. 

The association represents all areas of the pesticide industry from manufacture and formulation, to distribution of products.  The CPA is in an excellent position to provide the amenity industry with information on the issues related to amenity herbicide use.   

In order to comply with the EU Water Framework Directive, our industry has to adhere to ‘Best Practice’ to ensure surface and groundwaters are not contaminated by pesticides.
