Nomix Enviro Ltd has supplied herbicides and spraying equipment to the industrial, rail and amenity industries for over three quarters of a century. Nomix Enviro offers unrivalled expertise and customer service, together with a comprehensive range of products to suit every weed control situation.

The history of Nomix Enviro Ltd begins in 1929 with Chipman Chemical Company, who ran a spray train for spraying weeds on railways throughout Britain.

In 1982 a new company, Nomix Manufacturing Company, was started.
Nomix Manufacturing conceived the idea of Total Droplet Control (TDC) weed control via the introduction of the Nomix Weed Control System.

The Nomix System combines hand-held, easy to use applicators with specially formulated, oil-emulsion weedkillers which are supplied pre-mixed and ready for use.

This innovative system has since led the market place to more effective, economical, environmentally safe and easier to use weed control.

In the late 1980's, Nomix Manufacturing Company bought Chipman Ltd, and in 1991 the two businesses merged to become Nomix-Chipman Ltd.

Nomix-Chipman expanded internationally during the nineties with distribution channels established in the United States, Ireland, France, Canada, South Africa and Finland.

In 1998, Nomix-Chipman developed their product further by offering contract weed spraying.

At the beginning of 2003, Nomix-Chipman diversified into Anti-Graffiti offering a range of environmentally friendly graffiti removers, preventative coatings, pressure washers and training.

On the 19th February 2004, the New Mix for Nomix, weed control and graffitii was finalised and the company was renamed Nomix Enviro.

In March 2007 Nomix Enviro's excellent business record attracted the interest of Frontier Agriculture. On Friday 2nd March 2007, Frontier Agriculture acquired 100% of the shares in Nomix Enviro.  Frontier Agriculture is the industry leader in UK agricultural merchanting.  The business is dedicated to linking arable farmers directly with end users, through a seamless, fully integrated service.   Frontier is owned by its parent companies, ABF Holdings and Cargill PLC, two of the most financially secure businesses in the marketplace. Sister companies of both parents include AB Agri, Allied Mills, Allied Bakeries, Cargill Grain & Oilseeds, Sun Valley Foods and British Sugar. 

Today, Nomix Enviro remain the leading supplier of weed control products to the amenity and industrial markets in the UK. As manufacturers of products, and as national distributors for many of the major agrochemical companies, Nomix Enviro are in the unique position of being able to offer a solution to every weed control and graffiti problem.
