3. hazards identification

Product is of low toxicity under normal conditions of handling and use.

May cause irritation to eyes and respiratory system.

Since this product is harmful to fish or other aquatic life, the maximum concentration of active ingredient in treated water must not exceed 3ppm or such lower concentration as the appropriate water body may require. Users must consult the appropriate water regulatory body (Environment Agency) before using the product near water and must obtain their agreement before using this product to control aquatic weeds. Treated water must not be used for irrigation purposes within 6 weeks of treatment or until the concentration of active falls below 0.3ppm.

4. first aid measures
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air.

Skin Contact
Remove any contaminated clothing and wash underlying skin with soap and water.
Call doctor in case of skin irritation.

Eye Contact
Immediately flush the eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Call doctor.

Ingestion

Wash mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately

Water spray, powder, foam, carbon dioxide, halones.

Toxic and irritant vapours.

Protection of fire-fighters
Self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Personal Precautions
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and eye/face protection. Refer to section 8.

Environmental Precautions
Do not wash into sewers or into any body of water.  Advise Environment Agency/SEPA, if spillage has entered water course or drainage system.

Methods for Cleaning Up
Use sand or other non-combustible material and remove as special waste.

Handling
When using do not eat, drink or smoke.  Avoid contact with skin or eyes.  Wash hands and exposed skin before eating, drinking or smoking and after work.

Storage
Store in a dry, cool, frost-free ventilated area.

Engineering Measures:
For most conditions, no respiratory protection should be needed.  However, in Dusty atmospheres, use an approved dust respirator.  For emergency conditions, use an approved positive pressure self contained breathing apparatus.

Respiratory Protection:                                  
Wear clean, long sleeved, body-covering clothing.  Use gloves, impervious to this material, when prolonged or frequently repeated contact could occur.
