Selective weedkiller for turf containing 252 g ae / litre (21.8%) MCPA, 18 g ae / litre (1.6% w/w) dicamba and 42 g ae / litre (4.8% w/w) mecoprop-1 as sodium and potassium salts.
For use on sports turf and lawns to kill broad leaved weeds without damage to the grass. Controls a wide range of weeds including white clover, yarrow, mouse eared chickweed, bulbous buttercup, parsley piert.
Apply from April to late September when the grass and weeds are actively growing. Better control of annual or biennial weeds is obtained if sprayed early in the growing season. Perennial weeds should be sprayed when they are well developed but before flowering. At this time annual weeds may be too large to be well controlled. Effects may not be apparent for 2-3 weeks.
Half fill the spray tank with water, commence agitation, add the required amount of Tribute. Whilst maintaining the agitation add the rest of the water. Where mechanical or hydraulic agitation is available it must be maintained during spraying to ensure a uniform suspension.
When used in knapsack sprayers Tribute must be applied immediately after mixing. If the filled sprayer is allowed to stand it must be agitated before recommencing spraying.
For control of common weeds –
white clover, plantains, daisy,
creeping buttercup, thistles.
6 litres
300 – 500 litres
Knapsack spray application: 60 mls in 4.5 litres to treat 100 m².
For control of more difficult weeds –
yarrow, ragwort, parsley piert*,
cinquefoil, trefoils, mouse-eared chickweed, selfheal, pearlwort*, sorrel, blackmedick*, dandelion and related weeds, bulbous buttercup.
8 litres
300 – 500 litres
Knapsack sprayer application: 80 mls in 4.5 litres to treat 100 m².
Watering can application: 8 mls in 4.5 litres to treat 10 m²
* Only weeds with up to four true leaves and aerial growth will be checked.
Newly sown or turfed areas should not be sprayed in the year of establishment. When renovating treated areas an interval of 6-8 weeks should elapse before re-seeding.
The first four mowings should not be used for mulching unless composted for six months.
Turf containing bulbs may be treated once the foliage has died down completely.
Do not allow spray drift on to cultivated plants.
Do not apply during drought unless regular irrigation is practised.
Do not apply when rain is imminent (within 6 hours of application).
Avoid spraying during freezing conditions or if a frost is imminent.
Fine turf should not be mown for 24 hours before or after application (three days for less closely mown turf).
A fertilizer application 1-2 weeks before treatment aids weed control.
Heavy infestations and particularly resistant weeds may need a repeat treatment after an interval of 6-8 weeks at the 6 litre/hectare rate.

Field horsetail: 6 litres/ha will kill shoots and check re-growth
Common nettle: 6 litres/ha kills top growth when 15–25cm (6-10”) high
Soft rush: 6 litres/ha controlled by treatment in May, June or July may be treated uncut, but cutting 4 weeks before or after spraying improves control
Sowthistle: 6 litres/ha kills shoots and some of root up to (perennial) 20cm (8”) stage
