All application equipment should be regularly checked for damage and general working condition and serviced annually.

The Code of Practice for Using Plant Protection Products states that operators are required to ‘Check equipment for applying pesticide to make sure it is in good working order and is working correctly and accurately’.

The National Sprayer Testing Scheme(NSTS) is a voluntary inspection and testing scheme, allowing you to submit application equipment  for an annual inspection by a qualified person.
